A slide carries us into the lives and inner worlds of five teenage girls born in Sassari, Sardinia, in the island’s northwest. Alternating between city streets and the black holes of imagination, a shared journey unfolds through the making of a film and a deep immersion in reality.
The girls want to save the world — whether they will succeed remains unknown. What we do know is that they possess superpowers, have something to say, and harbor unpredictable desires.
A docu-fantasy where dreams, imagination, and the eviction of a Roma camp coexist within the same experience. Life breaks into cinema and vice versa. The protagonists are convinced they have made a fantasy film; the author believes she has created a documentary.
Adolescence is always a battleground, and imagination is always revolutionary.
