A video dance project born from the encounter between poetic words and improvised movement.
In 2019, at the Barcelona Forum, Vera Livia Garcia developed a choreographic improvisation inspired by Roberto Juarroz‘s poetry: a dialogue between body and vertigo, between open space and interiority.
The poem is not illustrated, but traversed. Dance does not represent it: it challenges it, expands it, contradicts it. The centre is not a stable coordinate, but a mobile tension.
The video and music – both by Alessandro Olla – construct a sound and visual landscape that accompanies and dislocates the movement. The image does not close the meaning, it leaves it suspended.
