Belgrade – Italian Cultural Institute, 2016

The artistic residency took place in July 2016 at the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, in collaboration with dancer Vera Livia Garcia.

During the two-week residency, we developed an audio-video performance inspired by the poems of Duska Vrhovac, for which I curated the concept and music, presented to the public at the end of the residency. At the same time, we created five video dance projects in an abandoned factory (the city’s former sugar factory), which were subsequently published online and presented on several occasions.

The residency also allowed me to conduct a personal investigation into the acoustic identity of Belgrade through numerous recordings of the urban soundscape.
